As a writer and an artist, I often hit the pause button when my style or approach feels stale - when the same old images appear, the same descriptive passages, or the same design. I get frustrated with myself, so I'll dip into a new genre or use new materials. Anything that takes me outside of my box of comfort is a good thing. I always want to create with a vision of something more.
