Ghosts, cobwebs swept from cell phone.

Finally swapped out my old, badly behaved Blackberry for a new phone yesterday. Thought I'd take a few minutes to go through and weed out my contact list. After deleting the name and number of the second person who had ceased to be among the living a year or two ago, I paused. Why had I left them in the list for so long? It isn't as though I hadn't noticed them before, while scrolling for some other number. Having a definite OCD component to my personality, I tend to toss out anything I no longer anticipate having a need for. Since these numbers were long since disconnected I certainly hadn't needed them for a long time...or maybe I did. Maybe I'd wanted to hold on to that last, tiny thread that still, in my mind, connected us. Maybe it's time to let go.
