I am not an athlete but I am a world class runner. In the past, when I felt overwhelmed or scared or just plain exhausted from human interaction, I ran. The running took many forms...some healthy and some now looking back on it not so healthy. The activities were masked as \"fun\" or \"escapes\". Upon closer inspection, it is easy to see they allowed respite from reality. Last night I was in one of those towns that was a frequently visited running destination. I was this time however not alone. I was with him. I looked at this man that I love, the love of my life and said \" you make me not want to run\". In other words...I love you.
