When I was 5 I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. For those of you who don't know what that is it's basically where I don't fully understand social cues and I tend to not do very well in social situations. For example, if someone was using sarcasm sometimes I wouldn't understand that it's sarcasm. It was very hard to deal with at first. And I've come a long way since then with all the doctors I've seen and all the money my parents have spent on my treatment. For those of you who think Asperger's is a disease it's not. Asperger's is a language disorder. It has to do with your brain and how it processes communication. Also, there is no \"cure\". On a daily basis I deal with a lot bullying. I feel like they're verbally abusing me. I hear things like freak, idiot, stupid and a lot of other stuff. During my freshman and sophomore year the verbal abuse got so bad to the point that I was on probation for truancy, or not going to school. Halfway through my second semester I switched schools. Now I'm at Lanier Career Academy and I'm doing much better. I’m even graduation a year early! With less bullying I am now doing much better!
