Serendipity at work: powerpointless, yet engaging.

Serendipity at work:

So I'm in the last 3 minutes of my lecture, just to notice that I've been powerpointless throughout the whole class (my powerpoint was not showing on the big screen at all).

I asked students why they didn't warn me. To my pleasant surprise, they said that it was not needed, that they could follow my story without it. One student said that \"it was better like this\".

In hindsight, I noticed that students were more participative and more attentive than usual.

I think powerpoint and presentation gimmicks are highly overrated.

How lovely is it to discover that I can do without it and still have a good class?
