Nine years ago my sister passed away. As expected, it's been hard on our family. We try to make it happy around the time of April because she wouldn't want us to be upset like that. Although, sometimes it gets hard to keep a smile up when everything around me still reminds me of her. There's this picture she drew hanging in the hall of a pink giant panda singing 'I Will Survive' because that was one of her favorite songs. On that day, we usually get a red balloon and go to her grave and set it free or get a picnic ready and go eat her favorite lunch with her. I don't know how many years it takes to get easier but nine is definitely not it.
