After losing my father and moving to a new house, I had begun to feel disconnected. To reconnect, I have created a themed room in my house to honor something he was passionate about, Lake Erie. It started with the nautical maps from the 1950 I found in the attic of my childhood home. I found a shop in a small city by the lake that framed the posters in driftwood. There is the book about fish I bought him one birthday for him to look at as his mind began to deteriorate. And the tacky Worst Fisherman Alive figure which is kitschy enough to be cool. Still adding touches as I go along.
