As \"Mom\" to a brand new toddler, I find myself saying no about two thousand times a day. But in a recent conversation about positive parenting, a friend and I discussed the necessity of all those \"no's\". We agreed that in parenting there must be consistency and guidance, but sometimes we say no because its easier, or it's instinctive. So we challenged ourselves to think about every single no (don't touch that, don't go that way, etc.) and at least once a day, say yes instead.
So I extend the same challenge to all of you, in any part of your life, ask yourself why you're saying no and what would happen if you said yes. Share your adventures with us, either as a comment here or as a brand new memoir.
