I was raised by a single mom who had five girls and only one boy (who I thought was The Devil), and I suppose because men were foreign to me, I was always seeking that mystical male who would love me despite all my faults, weaknesses, and shortcomings. Now, I am the mother of three boys and wife to one overgrown one, and none of them can get enough of my attention. Despite all my faults, weaknesses, and shortcomings: unconditional love. (And also nary a moment to myself. Be careful what you wish for . . . but be grateful when you get it).
