If the corporate culture is cut throat, negative and nasty, you will not thrive. Get out. Find a company that matches your values and they will value you. You would not marry a negative, nasty person so don't chain yourself to a company where you will be spending most of your day. I think of Enron. Had you worked there, you would be out of a job and pension. I left a couple of jobs where it was never going to change. I researched and net-worked until I found a dream job with a corporate conscience.
