Like losing an old imaginary friend.

It is like a security blanket that I feel that I need and can’t let go. That’s not the case however. Rather, I am the only one that sees it. And I think that I need it. But I don’t need it.

I am also the only one who has the ability to allow myself to move on. Like a child who decides that he doesn’t need his imaginary friend anymore because he has real friends, I need to leave my thoughts behind in exchange for real hope.
