Vincent Aurelius is an Anglo-Irish writer and journalist living in Paris. He is also a member of the London-based Fledgling Arts Collective which helps artists and would-be artists of all kinds, especially those with mental and other problems. His first published poems appeared in a Liverpool poetry magazine back in the 1980s, inspired by the 'Mersey Poets' Adrian Henri, Roger McGough and Brian Patten. His latest collection (by alter ego PV Harrington) was published by US outfit Twowolvz Press in 2013.

Vincent Aurelius' previous incarnations include stints as stand-up comic, film extra, radio chat-show host, DJ, psychiatric nurse, children's home carer, University Lecturer in China and Paris metro busker. However he says it is his work on newspapers which gave him the best training for becoming a contributor to Six Words. \"It was pretty much accepted wisdom that, for most stories, readers would get as far as the third paragraph if you were lucky. So you had to learn to tell an engaging story in as few words as possible.\"
Also a short-story writer, Vincent is currently working on his first novel, which he says he has already finished three times. His favourite rejection letter began; \"I usually like this sort of thing...\" - He ignored it. One word too long after all.
