My grandmother was a huge influence on the way I cook and the way I view food. She had 7 children, 20 grandchildren and 30+ great grandchildren and she knew each of our favorite foods. Grandman always had treats and hors d'oeuvres at the ready for quests and is bascially the reason I stayed fed during the years when my folks protested my going vegetarian. She also made wonderful homemade meals for my son and let him be a picky eater when mom didn't. (History repeats itself) Food should be respected and beautiful and my love of good food is her legacy.
