Teaching community ASL classes at the school means working an extra 8 or so hours per week. While I'm afforded some flexibility with my time, it's tough to take every hour when I'm the only interpreter on campus. On the bright side, I get to meet plenty of very nice folks who are interested in learning about the Deaf culture and its beautiful language. Finding someone with a true talent for learning ASL is just an added bonus.
