Alas, many barrettes and other ponytail accessories languish on my dresser and bathroom counter.

I was once the Queen of the Ponytail. The ponytail was my trademark. I wore it high and low, and even to the side.

I never thought of cutting my hair.

But now I have stepped down from the throne and passed the ponytail to my successors.

But I'm holding on to my barrettes.
