There's only so far you can go with someone who doesn't want to/is unable to see the truth in front of their eyes. Never really understood denial, personally. To me, denial is a key part of a person's ego; an unwillingness to acknowledge something might need working on within oneself, for fear of how it might hurt one's ego. It's all deeply subconscious, of course.
