Had a tiring day, with my young children non-stop since about seven this morning and it's almost 10pm where I am and they're still awake. I've hardly spoken to any adults today apart from the kids' dentist (o rapture, o joy) and my husband briefly this morning, as he left the house quite early.
I just emailed a very close and dear friend of mine to say, I've had a really tough and kinda lonely day. Tell me something lovely about you, that will make me smile so that I can share in it with you.
I'm learning that when in a mood like this, asking someone you care about to help you feel better by sharing something nice about themselves, is a great way to get out of yourself.
(Don't show that previous sentence to my English teacher. It's long enough for two sentences!)
