Went out of town for dinner this evening with my hubbie. He printed out directions but we still managed to get lost. We spent more than an hour in the car trying to get to a place that's really only about twenty-five minutes away. We asked at least half a dozen people along the roadside for help, but somehow their directions were unclear. Then we pulled in at a bus stop where a young woman was waiting. We asked her directions, she said she knew it and was going in that direction, so could we give her a ride there. She jumped in and directed us quickly and safely to our destination. Turns out she had lived in London for a few years, in a neighbourhood we know and love well. She rescued our evening and we thanked her profusely, before dining out at a delicious restaurant. I'm convinced this woman was an angel in human form.
