Here's the thing. As a young woman, I shuddered at the idea of a "mama's boy." Who wants that? Not attractive. Like, who wants a wuss who will, like, respect you? (I'm speaking in my twentysomething voice). As a mother of three boys, who very much love their mama, I realize now why God gave me boys. I have kissed so many frogs in my lifetime, and not one of them - not a single one - was a "mama's boy." Ohhh nooo, nooo. They could perhaps be labeled umm, derelicts, cheaters, drug addicts (sad but true) - need I go on? They were fix-me-uppers and I never had the mojo to properly fix them up. The reason, I have been led to believe, that God gave me boys, when I was one of six girls who had no clue what to do with aliens - err, I mean boys - was that I was meant to raise some woman-respecting, woman-loving, woman-revering Mama's Boys. And my future daughters-in-law will thank me someday. (I hope).
