Have to admit I hate it, the requirement to swipe for entrance to (and sometimes when exiting from) buildings all over campus. But I have to admit also that times are different. Or are they? Is there more crime, or are crimes just more enthusiastically reported? Then I think of the students in their dorms and how vulnerable they are. I guess I'd rather swipe than see armed officers patrolling the university. But I sure would like to take a swipe someday at that invisible, gargantuan server in the sky :-)
