I'm teaching Hamlet right now. Polonius is the pun master, but as a father? Well, he devalues his daughter, Ophelia, but then uses her as a negotiating chip with the monarchy. He sends his son to school in France, but then sends a servant to spy on him and spread rumors about Laertes.

I gotta admit, I'm not all that sad when he gets stabbed through a curtain. Just sayin'...
