This was the six word sentiment held up on a cardboard sign by a quite elderly veteran on a street corner. I watched him for awhile. The fellow veterans standing with him were solicitous of his well-being as he sat in a lawn chair, unable to get up without assistance.
I admired his simple message. I admired the effort it must have taken to get to that street corner to share it.
