My childhood Santa wore a mask.

When I was a little girl, my mother worked in the kitchen/cafeteria at a well known hospital in Atlanta. For Christmas there were two programs: one for the white employees and their children and one for the black employees and their children.

I don't know what the Santa looked like at the white program.

But I do know that the Santa at the black program, the one that my family attended, was a black man wearing a white Santa mask.
