...started with my first French penpal when I was in 9th grade. I even send homemade cranberry bread and date-nut breads. (Lord only knows what condition they`re in upon arrival, but my friends always graciously tell me that they`re delicious.) I remember the first time I sent some breads to a friend in Finland. I asked the postal worker if it was permitted. He hauled out a manual and spent 15 minutes checking international postal regulations. (The customers waiting in line behind me must have loved this!)
