There is a lot of speculation about those hats. Some say they are knitted with magic. Others claim they are good for the soul.

I believe much of the magic comes from the community that created them and not so much the knitter of said hats. But there is this one thing that I know about them. They are knitted, quite simply, with love. When I knit them I am generally thinking good thoughts. The better half of 2013 did not have much going for it in the "good thoughts" category. I have struggled for the last many months. Keeping my head above water, for one reason or another, proved difficult.

I guess it's fair to say that I had indeed misplaced my magic. But lately I think I've found a little here and there. And so once again, there's a hat freshly off of my needles and I'm adding a little something to it to make it unique. And it will soon be venturing on a cross country journey. For those of you that thought you had been left out please know that I have not retired my knitting needles.
