I find my life to be a unique juxtaposition of being deeply empathetic (I cry at inspirational movies on a regular basis) and deeply analytical.
My strength and weakness is that I am always connecting the dots -- making sense of seemingly disparate things. As a problem-solver, it gives me super powers to see things others don't. At the same time, I sometimes find myself having to consciously disrupt this tendency when big, intractable problems come my way. I love to solve them, too -- global warming, Washington gridlock, addressing massive unemployment -- but they can be exhausting. Solving these in my mind sometimes feels like uncovering Kryptonite.
This is what makes me, for better and not, who I am.
