In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

Those better be some good-ass peppers

First time shopping at this stupid ass organic store. Actually I didn't even know that it was an all organic store in the first place, otherwise I would have never stepped inside. I went to buy some bell peppers on my lunch break so that I didn't have to go grocery shopping after work. The sign above the bell peppers threw me for a loop. It said $6.99 per pound! $6.99? Really? I can normally make my salad for the week for about $5 or $6 dollars. I go up to the register and proceed to check out. The flippen bill came out to $9.59 for three flippen peppers. These better be some bad ass peppers.
