Girl Scouts are still selling cookies.

When I was very young, my mother volunteered for the Girl Scouts. Years later, when I was a teenager, she worked for them full time in a "train the trainer" capacity.
But in the beginning, starting when I was five years old, I was given a miniatutre hand-truck; and when it was time for the big trailer truck to arrive delivering our town's order of cookies, I got to help the teenaged boys and the men unload. There I was, with my tiny hand-truck, going up the long ramp onto a trailer to transport my two cases each trip to the storage room, where distribtion would begin. It was a big ocassion each year, and one that brings pleasant memories for sure.
