Unsent Letters in Just Six Words

What drives us to sit down and write a letter, what sometimes feels so impossible yet used to be so commonplace? And yet during tough times such as these, writing letters to friends and families can offer a beautifully personal connection we crave. We remember the joy of receiving letters from loved ones or an acceptance letter from our dream university. For SixContest#143, in whichever manner and era, we'd like you to remember and share your unsent letters.

Tell us about a time when you'd wished you had reconnected with distant friends or relatives. Have you ever continuously refreshed your computer inbox, waiting hopefully for an e-mail to arrive? Is there a love letter you’ve written and rewritten in your mind? If you could write to anyone in the world, who would it be? And if you had the chance to finally send that letter, would you?

If you'd like to share a backstory (we love reading them!), be sure to submit your entry as a Six and include the link to the Backstory here in the comments below. Share as many stories as you like, but do post only one entry per comment.

Remember to tag us and include #SixWordsNeverSent when posting your Six Words to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
