It is all taking a toll.

I’m in vex robotics, and it’s making my life so much harder.
Lately, we”ve been driving a robot every day from right after school to 11 pm at least since December. Not to mention the time building a new robot, and coding. I fell asleep in English today, during a quiz!

Anyways we made it to the state competition, and we are going to it right now. I’m not very confident with our driving since we haven’t practiced nearly enough. The goal is to get to Worlds.

We are a three person team. One guy is here so he can brag to his friends that he went to worlds. The other is here because he wants to be. I’m here because the other two want to go to worlds. I honestly would rather not, but I do it for them.

My grades are going to stop dropping, (although they have actually been going up)

I kid you not, I have to wake up early, spend 7-8 hours at school, do my homework, and then code for the next 1-3 hours. Then, my teammates come over and we drive the robot 6+hours. And then we go to sleep.

Which isn’t really good for any of us, though the work is interesting. We spend 7-9 hours a day doing robotics.

56 hours! Plus school is 114 hours a week using our brains!

My hands have started shacking, my knees started being less dependable than normal, headaches, sleeping in class, as I’ve said.

I know that adults have it way worse, but this is my vent session.

Anyways, have an amazing day!
