My maternal great-grandmother Louisa was married twice. She migrated from England to the US with her husband Ted Bland in the 1860s. Ted fought with the Union army at the battle of Bull Run, was wounded and repatriated to the island of Jersey, where he died.Louisa returned to England and remarried to my maternal great-grandfather. I have a copy of part of a diary which Ted kept during his war service - if anyone knows of a civil war museum that might appreciate a copy, please send me the contact details.
