My child is making choices....some good, some bad. What is a mother to do? I can offer motherly wisdom and/or punish him when the bad ones come. What I can't do is control his choices. Perhaps if I could control everything that happens in my life and his, our world would be picture perfect. Somehow, I believe that is not what life is all about. While I would love to erase some of the things that are happening now to him, without learning and growing from them, he can never make his life his own.
