This morning I witnessed a woman who was walking. She abruptly stopped. Bent down. Flipped over a penny that was on the ground and then continued walking.

I couldn’t help wonder if she was doing a good deed by leaving the penny on the ground for someone else to find. Or perhaps there is superstition attached to the penny if it’s face up or down.

Either way, I was intrigued with what I witnessed.
