In the second Six-Word Festival on Twitter, our first challenge asked you to share “The Best Advice in Six Words” and your recommendations came flooding in! #SixWordsAdvice even trended on Twitter! Some advisors were so anxious to share their Six Words of wisdom that they started early! But to be considered by the judges and for our upcoming book, Six Words of Advice from Writers Famous & Obscure, coming out in 2015 from St. Martin’s Press, you had to tweet between 1-3pm EDT.
Molly Ringwald contributed so many wonderful words of advice, it was difficult to highlight just one, but these Six Words rose to the top:
If she says no believe her. #mysixwordsofadvice #sixwords #yestowomem

Lots of other well-known folks shared their advice! Mary Beth Williams offered the sage advice “Get that mole checked out. SERIOUSLY.” And our very own Larry Smith tweeted, “Know your audience, then surprise them.” hinting to the new season of Orange is the New Black!

Head for that bars first (open till 3am usually) as clubs never progress at weekends until
well after 2 am, (and a few “after hours” keep going till after midday the next
day). Madrid’s Simple Life – To the outsider travelling
alone, Madrid may seem like a very glitzy place filled with glamorous revelers on their way to a single swank party or another.
If you do get stuck in the queue, the path vendor opposite sells beer.
