This week, many memoirs centered on a special someone—Mom. In honor of Mother’s Day and all the matriarchs in the world, this week’s Best Sixes touch on mothers and motherhood. We have Sixes from moms themselves (“Became a mom kicking and screaming.”), while others assess their own mothers (“Mom was dynamite. Wouldn’t fire her.”). Some Sixes showed the intricacies and simplicities of motherhood (“A mother’s love is just ’cause.”). But one thing is certain; a mother’s love is the stuff of magic. –Gilmarie Brioso
