Our second Six-Word Festival on Twitter starts off ​to an inspired start with a word (six of them, to be exact) to the wise. This is your chance to offer guidance with brevity, show you’re in-the-know, and share your wisdom with the masses. Whatever your recommendations, be sure to make them in just Six Words. We’re thrilled to be joined by Maria Shriver (@mariashriver), the Peabody and Emmy award-winning journalist and producer who is a best-selling author and former First Lady of California.Shriver TwitterWe’ll also hear from her daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger (@KSchwarzenegger), an author with a knack for advice in her latest I Just Graduated…Now What?.

We’ll kick off this challenge with WNYC (@WNYC), home to New York’s flagship public radio stations. Their award-winning programming has a worldwide digital audience and reaches more than a million weekly listeners in the New York area.

• Six people (maybe more!) who tweet during the Six-Word Advice prompt will be included from our new book, Six Words of Advice from Writers Famous & Obscure, coming out in 2015 from St. Martin’s Press. You must tweet on June 4 between 1-3pm EST, with the hashtag #sixwordadvice and follow @sixwords.

• Each day during the festival, we’ll be giving away six Six-Word Memoir books at random times throughout the festival. All you have to do is tweet with the hashtags we’re using during each of the prompts, as well as follow @sixwords.
