“My life’s all about the parentheses.” The Best Six-Word Memoirs of the Week

This week, Charlie Sheen made himself the center of attention by being so…quotable (he even managed to work in a few six-word phrases—”Can’t is the cancer of happen” anyone?) Our SMITH community too has been hard at work at creating memorable phrases. Here are six six-worders we love from the week ending March 4. Click on each of the author’s names below to check out more of their memoirs.

Toughest Narrative Arc: “Fell off wagon, thrown under bus.” —steelponypoet (profile image above)
Most Forward-Thinking: “Plenty of paint. Need a canvas.” —l8leigh
Nerdiest Wordplay: “My life’s all about the parentheses.” —L2L3
Most Political: “Wisconsinite moving further left every day.” —JVS
Most Resilient: “My pen died. My spirit didn’t.” —Contemplative, from Six Words on TWLOHA.
Most Burnt: “Was bread. Met him. Now toast.” —coulda.been.a.comet, who boasts one of the most favorited memoirs from SMITHTeens this week.
