“Therapy bill indicates talk isn’t cheap.” The Best Six-Word Memoirs of the Week

After a long weekend of Memorial Day cook outs, the Dutch reported plans to colonize Mars, a tropical storm by the name of ‘Beryl’ invaded the Southern Coast, and former presidential candidate overcame some stormy weather of his own. Here at SMITH, the authors of these Six-Word Memoirs forged ahead for themselves, sharing stories, celebrating the iconic life of Walt Whitman and creating their own literary landmarks in six meaningful words at a time.

Best Imagery: “Sliding off the toilet type humidity.” – BrokenAmazon
Most Confident: “Eating my feelings—supersize that shit!” – JessicaKate (profile image above)
Priciest: “Therapy bill indicates talk isn’t cheap.”- JohnBigJohn, the most favorited memoir of the week.
Most Independent: “Statistics will not define my future.” – SingerSomewhere
Most Revealing: “Stripper turned writer. More exposed now.” – ChristineMacdonald
Most Humble: “Too clutzy to leave things intact.” – ammotc, from SMITH Teens.

Plus: Check out SMITH’s call call for submissions of illustrated Six-Word-Memoirs by students, a new eBook with the folks at TED.
