Top Comic Book Stories in Six Words

Presto! Sarcasm lost on Irony Man

In honor of National Comic Book day on September 25, we challenged you to write comic book stories in Six Words. The entries for SixContest #36 revealed our community’s uncanny ability to create new characters worthy of the Marvel universe. Some of your stories proved real heroes come from the people in our everyday lives. We loved all of your capers and plot twists, but only six can claim the top spots. Here are our favorite comic book stories in Six Words:

6. “Super Chef! Deflecting salmonella, defending deliciousness!” —@cheftalk (via Twitter)

5. “Billionaire orphan makes criminals fear rodents.” @Pierzy (via Twitter)

4. “SlackerMan: No work, still takes credit.” —cheesehead1976

3. “Feminista smashes Patriarcho, inspires worldwide egalitarianism.” —@profjuarez (via Twitter)

2. “We are teachers: no cape required.” —karenrp16

And the top six-word comic is…

1. “Presto! Sarcasm lost on Irony Man!” —Ms. Nan

Congrats to Ms. Nan and thanks to everyone who joined in the fun! Whether in our SixContests, on FacebookTwitterTumblr or at sixwordmemoirs.com—keep on Sixing!
