Sometimes the tiny but terrific team here at Six-Word Memoirs has trouble keeping our head above water. We try to ride with the tide, go with the flow, and occasionally even turn off our mind and float downstream. Still, sometimes when we are drowning we need a life rope to get back to safe waters. If you have managed to keep reading through all these bad “swimming” metaphors this is our long way of saying: thank you to Sixers Hemingway1955 and SF51girl for inquiring into the state of the winners of the SixContest #156, aka “Swimming in Sixes! Your ‘Swim’ Story,” and helping pick the winners. Without further ado or mediocre metaphor here are our Top 6 “Swimming in Sixes.”
6. Swam out, well beyond my fears. —ksan
5. Heard a splash, saved brother’s life. —SoccerGirl
4. You’re the Polo to my Marco. —L8leigh

—Stargirlwaitingintheskys
