Baratunde Thurston is the CEO, co-founder, and hashtagger-in-chief of Cultivated Wit, an agency that works with companies and organizations with the goal of engaging their audiences with humor. After years of serving as the digital director for The Onion, Thurston continues to write in satire and share his work through digital means.

He has established himself as an authority on race relations, politics, and even Foursquare.  Just last year, he wrote the New York Times bestseller How To Be Black.  He has also worked on the Obama campaign and was one of the co-founders of the black political blog, Jack and Jill politics.
