We’re halfway through “Six Words About Work,” a special challenge from SMITH Magazine and Mercer consulting that asks you, in exactly six words, to define four areas of your work life. Challenge #3 is almost always interesting and nearly inescapable: bosses. In six words, we want to know about the best boss you’ve ever had, lessons learned (good and bad) from your bosses, and what it’s like to be the boss yourself. We’ll reward three hardworking six-word scribes (one each from the U.S., UK, and Canada) with a choice of an iPad2 or BlackBerry PlayBook. Good deal, right?
This topic’s judge is Tony Schwartz, founder of The Energy Project, a company that helps individuals and organizations fuel energy, engagement, focus and productivity. He’s the author of many bestselling books, including his recent Be Excellent At Anything: The Four Keys to Transforming the Way We Work and Live.. And as the co-author of Trump: The Art of the Deal, Tony certainly knows a thing or two about bosses.
Challenge #3 (of four challenges this summer) continues through August 13. All entries also are eligible to be part of a special Six Words About Work book we’re publishing this fall. Enter as often as you like (but only on the contest page, not the comments area of this post).
